Solution Briefs

Mobile: from values typed twice to data captured at the bench

A technician charges a batch at the mixer with gloves on and a batch sheet on a clipboard. Hours later, someone types those values into a shared PC, where a typing error can move a result out of spec and a count that does not match the record turns into a search across the building.

Uncountable runs in the browser of a phone or a tablet. Your team scans a label to open the record, enters actual quantities, photos, and spoken values at the balance, the line, or the shelf, and reconciles inventory from a phone. Each value goes in once, into the same record the team sees at a desk.

This solution brief is for R&D, lab, quality, and operations leaders in formulation-driven industries.

FAQs

What does this solution brief cover?

How Uncountable works on a phone or a tablet: scanning labels to open records, moving and reconciling inventory, recording actual quantities with Add Actuals, capturing photos and spoken values, printing scannable labels, signing on a tablet, and asking Bodie AI Agent, with a worked example at the mixer.

Does Uncountable work on a phone or a tablet?

Yes. Uncountable runs in the browser of a phone or a tablet. On a phone, the navigation moves to a top bar with the menu, a barcode scanner, and search. On a tablet, your team gets the full desktop layout. Each record is the same record the team sees at a desk, with the same access rules.

How does barcode scanning work on a phone?

Tap the scanner and point the camera at a barcode or QR code, or use a handheld scanner that types like a keyboard. Uncountable opens every matching record the person has permission to read, and a Scan Barcode trigger can start an action that your admins set up.

Can we reconcile lab inventory from a phone?

Yes. Start a reconciliation session in Barcode Tracking, scan each container on the shelf, then open Unscanned Inventory to see what the record lists but the shelf does not hold, and the reverse.

How are actual quantities and lots recorded at the balance?

Add Actuals shows each ingredient's target quantity and a field for the actual quantity. Scanning the container in hand assigns its inventory lot to the ingredient, so traceability starts at the mixer.
