Solution Guides & Tools

Your lab, in your hand: Uncountable on mobile

Scan, capture, and decide where the work happens.

Lab and plant work does not stay at a desk. Technicians weigh at the mixer, pull samples from stability chambers, count containers in the warehouse, and test on the line. When the system of record lives on a desktop PC, the data waits on paper until someone types it in again. Your lab, in your hand is a solution guide for R&D, lab, quality, and operations leaders who want to capture each value one time, at the point of work.

Uncountable runs in the browser of a phone or a tablet. The layout adapts to the screen, the camera reads barcodes, and each record you open is the same record your team sees at a desk, with the same permissions.

‍

What can lab teams do with Uncountable on a phone?

On a phone or tablet, teams scan a barcode or QR label to open the right record, count, move, and reconcile inventory with Barcode Tracking, record actual ingredient quantities step by step with Add Actuals, attach photos straight to a record, speak values with Voice Entry when gloves are on, ask Bodie, the Uncountable AI agent, for help, and sign a record with a PIN. Handheld scanners work too, and a Scan Barcode trigger can start an automation on each scan.

FAQs

Does Uncountable work on a phone or a tablet?

Yes. Uncountable runs in the browser of a phone or a tablet. On screens narrower than 768 pixels, the side navigation becomes a top bar with the menu, a barcode scanner, and search, and each record you open is the same record your team sees at a desk, with the same access rules.

Who is the Uncountable mobile solution guide for?

The guide is for R&D, lab, quality, and operations leaders in formulation-driven industries, such as coatings, adhesives, food, personal care, batteries, polymers, specialty chemicals, and life sciences.

How does barcode scanning work in Uncountable on mobile?

Tap the scanner in the top bar and point the phone's rear camera at a barcode or QR code, or type the code. Uncountable finds every record with that barcode that you have permission to read. A handheld scanner that types like a keyboard also works without setup, and a Scan Barcode trigger lets admins run an action when someone scans a record.

Can I reconcile lab inventory from a phone?

Yes. In Barcode Tracking, start an inventory reconciliation session, scan each container on the shelf, then open Unscanned Inventory to see what the record lists but the shelf does not hold, or Scanned Inventory Not In Listing for the reverse. End the session when you are done, and past sessions stay available.

Can lab technicians enter data hands-free?

Yes. Voice Entry lets technicians speak values, such as pH or viscosity readings, into the record when gloves are on, and speech to text works in Quick Actions and Bodie chat. Photos can be taken straight into a file field, or sent from a phone to a desktop page with Upload from Phone.
