About Uncountable:

We are Looking For:

Uncountable is seeking a results-oriented Event Marketing Manager to join our small yet powerful marketing team. The event marketing manager will be responsible for managing all third-party event strategy and execution. Anything involving Uncountable’s engagement and involvement in external events will be yours to own.

The ideal candidate will have a strong self-starter mentality and the ability to thrive/succeed within a highly technical B2B SaaS organization.

Who You Are

You should be 100% committed to working in a fast-paced, young startup environment – with motivation and drive to proactively lead and/or identify new and/or existing event marketing efforts. This person must quickly understand, develop, and engage large organizations through various event marketing activities. You should be excited to take ownership of engaging technical audiences: R&D leaders/decision-makers, CTOs, and advanced chemical/materials manufacturers. The opportunity and challenge of a high-upside, fast-growing B2B company should excite and motivate you, and you must be willing to take a proactive approach to innovating and scaling our event strategy.

You should be willing and capable of taking a full 360-degree approach to strategizing, executing, coordinating, managing, and optimizing demand generation and lead generation efforts for all digital and in-person events. This person should proactively take ownership of the success of all digital and in-person events – from planning, coordinating, and managing a full event calendar, managing the logistics of exhibiting or attending trade shows (booth, collateral, sponsorships, etc.), sales team pre and post-event participation and activities, speaker and thought-leadership opportunities, promotional efforts, managing partnerships, pre and post-event lead generation, digital event/partnerships (webinars, misc. Content syndication efforts), and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive all the cross-department collaboration and communication to execute your vision for in-person and virtual event participation, ensuring clarity and preparation are a top priority with your stakeholders;
  • Create and manage our event calendar (ensuring there is brand coverage across all relevant industry/trade-specific events and broader categories, organizing and preparing event deliverables, etc.);
  • Define success metrics, goals, and their relativity to department and company goals;
  • Work hand in hand with the Director of Marketing to develop quarterly and yearly sponsorship and partnership commitments to events, using your expertise to guide suggestions;
  • Partner closely with our internal and external speakers who participate in external events, ensuring they’re prepared to execute at their best;
  • Take ownership of planning and executing all demand generation activities required to promote your event strategy through digital and print marketing collateral and campaigns (such as email marketing, website posts, social media, print collateral, signage, etc.);
  • Continuously analyze performance data to measure the effectiveness of event marketing strategies to inform future event participation/engagement efforts;
  • Develop and manage the creation of materials supporting thought-leadership engagements – including topic development and creation, slide decks, presentation deliverables, abstract, digital and/or physical assets, pre and post-event email or partnership promotional efforts, etc.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to ensure our event strategy is competitive and uniquely positioned;
  • Work with customers to identify event partnerships (co-hosting webinars, presentations, event sponsorships, etc.);
  • Collaborate with sales to ensure they are well prepared for their involvement at each event (attending, exhibiting, speaking, etc.), are on track with resources for pre-event prospecting and outreach activities, have the resources/collateral they need during the event, support post-event campaign attribution and distribution of leads, and ensure they are following up with prospects after the event in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven successful event marketing and execution for B2B SaaS companies
  • Proven ability to create engaging event content that drives brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to own event strategies with little to no oversight, passionate about using data to drive strategy
  • Proficiency in using marketing automation tools, preferably HubSpot.
  • Experience in vendor negotiation, sponsorship contracts, fulfillment, and expo strategies
  • Passion for creative, out-of-the-box event strategies, with examples of previous risks taken that led to positive results
  • In-depth knowledge of managing speaker preparation with executive and senior leaders
  • Excellent understanding of marketing automation platforms and activities
  • Familiarity with data analysis and using metrics to inform event strategy
  • The ability for potential travel ~10% of the time
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Marketing/Sales Platform experience: HubSpot, Outreach.io, Salesforce CRM
  • Canva or similar Adobe-graphic design products
  • Google Analytics
  • WebFlow web design/development
  • Experience with graphic design & video editing tools is a plus
  • Passion for science, chemistry, and/or artificial intelligence
