Traditional PLM models a product as a bill of parts, so for formulated products the recipe and the compounding steps end up in a spreadsheet beside it. Change an ingredient and the BOM and every product that shares it fall out of sync. Uncountable builds the bill of materials from the formulation itself, so composition and compounding are one connected record, with cost data held alongside it. And because each BOM lives on the ingredient record and versions with it, bills of materials stop drifting as PDFs in Drive or SharePoint.
