Description

Uncountable is hiring interns in our Munich office who are passionate about a career in data science and data engineering. Our goal is to revolutionize materials research and development with Artificial Intelligence, and we're looking for motivated data engineers who can help us clean, organize and analyze data from some of the most innovative materials companies in Europe.

Our office is located near Odeonsplatz, between TUM and LMU campuses. You will work with a collaborative team of experienced Data Scientists and Customer Relationship managers, with the opportunity to learn from local Munich employees as well as our team in San Francisco.

You must be detail-oriented and self-directed, and you will have the chance to take on special projects or advise on key data decisions for our customers according to your skillset and professional goals. The majority of your time will be spent parsing, cleaning and reformatting complicated Excel spreadsheets; because of the nature of our customers’ R&D work, this often requires problem-solving via custom scripts, macros or other creative solutions.

We offer:

  • Opportunity to apply for additional hours and/or full-time employment based on mutual interest and performance
  • Convenient location near Odeonsplatz
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible hours
  • Dedicated mentorship

  • Native/fluent German speaker with strong communication skills in English
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated interest in data analysis, machine learning and/or programming
  • Studies or internship abroad is a plus
  • Interest or past experience in chemistry or material science fields preferred
  • Ideally available to start work on or before 16 March (We will consider candidates for later start dates; please indicate your availability in your cover letter)

  • Certificate of enrollment
  • Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens)
