The problem: datasheet values copied by hand
Supplier datasheets hold the values engineers need, but copying them into part records is slow and error-prone.
Datasheets arrive as PDFs in different layouts from every supplier. Someone has to read each one and type the rated pressure, maximum temperature and material into the part record, and a single slip can follow that part through every design that uses it.

Why it matters
Part records are only as good as the values in them. Extracting datasheet values with field-specific prompts reduces manual entry and keeps the source document attached for checking.
Once the data is in structured fields, engineers can ask questions across every part and get links back to the records, which makes it faster to find a suitable part or check what's affected by a supplier change.
