The problem: building complex filters by hand
Finding experiments that meet one condition or another, then grouping them, usually means fiddly filter menus or an export to a spreadsheet.
An OR condition across two measurements, grouped by resin lot, is a common question in coatings work. In most tools it means building nested filter groups or exporting everything to a spreadsheet pivot.
What this demo shows
- Ask Bodie, the chat built into the platform, for gloss above 40 or haze below 20.
- Get a filtered experiments listing.
- Group the matching experiments by resin lot.
Why it matters
The time it takes to build a view decides whether people bother to look. A plain request that returns a grouped table gets scientists to the comparison quickly.
Grouping by lot shows straight away whether a pattern follows a raw material, which is often the first clue in a performance question.

Last week in Uncountable, Bodie, the chat built into the platform, learned new ways to filter and group your listings. Ask for experiments with high gloss or low haze. Bodie puts each condition in its own filter group joined by or. Then, ask Bodie to group the rows by a column on the listing. The rows sort under a header for each value of that column.
From plain requests to a filtered grouped listing ready for the next decision.
