Paints & Coatings

Behr scientists formulate in Uncountable. R&D and production formulas are managed in the platform with appropriate tagging and access control.

Covestro’s Fiber Optic Materials team, an industry leader in providing innovative solutions for optical fiber coating formulations, has partnered with Uncountable to be their core platform for managing and connecting information across the product...

See how a coatings quality engineer asks Bodie about a suspect raw material lot, gets an answer tied to real records and checks the supplier's CoA without opening it.

See how a coatings plant takes a passing batch through production lot approval, generates its certificate of analysis, and signs and locks the record.

Ask Bodie for the next coating with tensile strength above 13 and Delta E at or below 0.7. It sets up the constraints, runs Suggest Experiments in the background and returns a recipe to import.

See how a scientist asks Bodie for experiments with gloss above 40 or haze below 20, then groups the matches by resin lot.

Every exposure interval stays with its formula. See how a coatings team runs a xenon arc weathering study, compares it with earlier studies and asks Bodie which formulations held up.

A customer asks about one result on an issued certificate. See how the team goes from the certificate to its spec, the tested batch, the lock signature and the Event Log.

Official regulations are the floor. See how Uncountable layers customer specs and internal policies on top of REACH rules and rechecks every formula.

Some regulations have a numeric limit. Others depend on conditions only your team can judge. See how Uncountable handles both and records who made the call and when.

You can't test every formulation. See how the model picks your next experiments from past runs, stays inside your limits, and shows you why it chose each one.

Three coatings projects use different raw materials, and one model still finds what drives their drying time. See how structured raw-material data makes it possible.

Three plants and an acquisition left 70 pigment dispersions. Rationalization clusters them into seven families and finds three codes with the same loading, dispersant and color.

Every layer of the BOM, calculated. See how Uncountable models a paint from ingredients to premix to product, rolls up cost and VOC, and carries it through QC and stage-gate review.

Catch the failing batch, trace it to the lot and open the CAPA with the facts. See how a paint plant carries every detail through without retyping.

One pigment container goes from its shelf to an experiment and back in stock. See how a lab scans it, uses it, sees the low-stock flag and logs the new lot.

A batch passes every test and is locked and signed. See how its approved results become a customer certificate of analysis with one click and an approval.

Four primer trials wait for gloss readings. One gloss meter file fills them all, and the same results go straight into a spec check and a chart.

A method change moves from Draft to Approved and its cure temperature changes from 140 °C to 180 °C. See how the event log keeps each change.

See how a paint QC lab brings spectrophotometer data into Uncountable, checks color against spec and traces three off-color batches to one raw material lot.

When a restricted substance turns up in one formula, the next question is where else it's used. See how Uncountable builds a portfolio view in seconds.

See how a coatings QC lab takes a batch from lab request to a signed certificate of analysis, catching a drifting result and tracing it back to a raw material lot.

See how Uncountable checks every ingredient against EU and California regulations as you formulate, shows why something fails and applies your own tighter limits.

See how Uncountable applies regulations to every source of the same substance by CAS number, and how to close the gap when supplier data is missing one.

A pass or fail is only as good as the rule behind it. See how every regulatory check in Uncountable shows its rule, its source and its last update.

One saved test group becomes the same tests at the same conditions on three trials. See how a scientist sets up performance testing once and applies it everywhere.

See how a coatings quality team turns a plot of batch results into a control chart, lets standard SPC run rules flag a shift and traces it to a raw material lot.

A batch misses its gloss range, and a change request takes a new specification through two approvals to release. The next batch is tested against the new spec.

A new supplier's version of the same ingredient can change a formula's compliance. See how Uncountable flags it in the recipe before it reaches production.

Three primer trials are entered by weight, but the lab mixes them by volume. See how a formulator switches all three to milliliters from one menu.

A satin alkyd run reads thicker than its control. See how an R&D team reads the experiment's formulation and results, then compares past runs to find the resin lot.

See how a lab team picks an uploader, drops in a spectrophotometer file, checks the readings and finds them on the experiment next to its formulation.
